Last news we featured Star Wars Uncut, which featured a fan based recreation of the first Star Wars movie in 15 second increments. Today, we find another gem from a couple of fans of the film, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Both actors are starring in the new film Paul about an alien landing on Earth. They’ve put together a short film in which they try and recreate the scene where R2D2 and C3PO are out in the desert. Their original intent was to reshoot scene by scene, but only managed to finish one, and that one went a bit awry itself. This is definitely fun stuff from College Humor.

One of the highlights of the Star Wars video games is the Lego ones and on March 22, 2011, Lego: Star Wars III hits the console games. One of the things we love about them is the humor that is in them, and of course the latest installment is loaded with such fun. This TV ad, entitled Charge, shows just what length they’ll go. Check it out.

Billy Dee Williams, who played Lando Calrissian in the original trilogy, is often asked about the rumor that he auditioned for the role of Han Solo. Not true, said the now 73 year old actor. George asked him to play the part of Lando and he did not go through the audition process at all. Billy Dee Williams still appears at Star Wars conventions and is happy to meet with the fans who he says have supported him all those years. Since the movies, he’s appeared in a lot of guest roles in TV, most recently in USA’s White Collar. He’s reprised his role as Lando through the years, lending his voice to video games, cartoons, and even an internet skit for FunnyOrDie.com. But what was cool was his appearance in a independent music video called “Ewok Gospel”, which if you haven’t seen, is a funny song. He’s towards the end, so hang with it.

It seems that it’s every tech’s dream to own the ultimate home theatre system, but what could be more exciting than a Star Wars Theatre, complete with your own C3PO and R2D2 talking robots. Acoustic Innovations has created a 20x14 foot room based in the Lucas universe, although not specifically designed to any one ship. It looks a bit like a Star Speeder actually from Star Tours. There are seats next to the windows that use fiber optics to simulate outside stars. The ceiling also has effects as well. It even has a desk to use as a computer station when not watching a film. The video and audio components are top rate, including a video projector and amazing surround system. All this can be yours for around $100,000.
