Why do flagship smartphones keep pushing higher price points each year?

I've been very observant of how the prices of flagship smartphone have been very expensive. They keep increasing each year new phones are released.

I don't know why this keeps happening but it's getting to a point where most people will find it very difficult to afford buying flagship smartphone products.

What's the most expensive flagship smartphone that you are currently using?

It's never going to be possible for smartphone companies to sell version 2025 of their smartphone the same price they sold version 2024 of the same phone.

What is the essence of upgrading on the phone if they are going to sell the same price?
